- Lumberjacks are cutting down many trees that are destroying much of the vegetation that is found here.
- Humans hunt animals in the chaparral, which is disrupting many of the food chain.
- The most devastating problem are wild fires. These wildfires usually happen on land, or are started by humans. In nature some plants need fire to occur to survive in the chaparral, It helps them to grow. These accidental or natural fires however can cause many houses to burn down which also affects many people as well as animals.
- Home building and industry is growing creating air pollution.
- The Chaparral biome is known as the smallest biome in the world. Changes in this biome wouldn't greatly affect the whole world. Unless the entire habitate is damaged, then the animals would have to leave and takeover other habitats.
Solutions
- Some of the possible solutions that might help to save the chaparral include fines for people who start fires.
- To have a fire department equipment nearby so they can be prepared in cause of a fire.
- Try to balance humans and nature so they can coexists in a way that is possible for both of them.
